U.P.R.I.S.I.N.G & BUFOG 2nd annual joint skywatch, Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, UK, 24th June 2023
After the amazing success of our first skywatch, we decided to go back to the same location for our 2nd annual joint skywatch with BUFOG Truthseekers. We had another amazing turnout, and this time we were able to investigate the inside of the German war cemetery, with several possible ‘cryptid-like’ sightings throughout the night.
There was also, yet again, lots of strange activity in the sky once it got dark, with lights flashing seemingly in response to lasers, moving in different directions and acting erratically. There was also a triangle of lights found in one photograph, that didn’t appear in another photo taken seconds later of the same patch of sky.

Our first ever group event was a great success. We were all overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout and we are already looking forward to the next event. We would also like to thank everyone at BUFOG for joining us and helping make it such a memorable night! We will definitely have to join up again in the future.
There wasn’t much skywatching going on unfortunately due to the cloud cover, but we went on a couple of ghost walks to the war cemeteries and the surrounding areas. Dave Hodrien (Chairman of BUFOG) gave a talk about local UFO sightings through the years, some of which he personally investigated, and U.P.R.I.S.I.N.G Chairman Nath Lockley gave a talk on the local Paranormal sightings.
